These terms apply when you download or use the Social Media Agent desktop app and this website. By using the app, you agree to them.
Using the app
You may install and use the app on your own computers to plan and draft your content. Don't use it to break the law, or to break the terms of services it connects to.
Your ChatGPT account and Codex
AI drafting runs through the Codex CLI on your ChatGPT account. You need your own ChatGPT plan that includes Codex. You are responsible for following OpenAI's terms and usage policies. Replies count toward your plan's limits, and OpenAI decides which models are available and when. The app includes a copy of the Codex CLI, which OpenAI provides under the Apache License 2.0. That license and other third-party notices ship with the app in itsresources\licenses folder.
Your content
You own what you create in the app. AI-generated drafts can be wrong, unoriginal or unsuitable, so review everything before you publish it. You are responsible for what you post and for following Instagram's rules.
Your data
Your data stays on your computer (see the Privacy Policy). Keeping backups is up to you. The app can export everything to a file from Settings.
Updates
The app downloads and installs updates automatically. We may change or stop offering features, or the app itself, at any time.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that it will be error-free or always available, or that it won't lose data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or content, arising from your use of the app.
Not affiliated
Social Media Agent is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Instagram or Meta. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the app means you accept the changes.
